These reclaimed heart pine floors (c. 1880) take center stage in this photo. The painted cabinets don’t compete with the natural beauty of the floors. I happen to know that in this case the owner was so adamant that the cabinets didn’t compete with the floor that he painted American cherry cabinets. Good choice in my opinion. (My father-in-law nearly shot me when he realized that I painted the cherry cabinets.)
